Laura Grams leads Leadership and Organizational Development for the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA Healthcare). HCA is one of the leading healthcare providers in the US with over 230,000 employees, 175 hospitals, 119 free standing surgical centers, and annual revenue of $41.5 Billion. As Vice President of L&OD, Laura and her team develop leaders who are committed to the care and improvement of human life. Laura is a seasoned leader with a strong combination of business, organizational development, and training expertise. Laura joined HCA in 2014 to build an award winning Leadership Institute and comprehensive Talent Management strategy. She has successfully built a team of talented L&OD professionals who are working together to improve the customer/ patient experience, expand the leadership pipeline, and execute on CEO Milton Johnson’s vision of the “unparalleled development of current and future leaders” across HCA. Prior to HCA, Laura led Cisco Systems’ Learning and Development Solutions Group which was ranked #7 in Training Magazine’s prestigious top 125 based on quality offerings, sound metrics and impact on the business. Prior to joining Cisco in 2000, Laura held leadership positions with Accenture (Arthur Andersen) including Director of Business Consulting and Regional Director of HR. She also worked for Lanier Worldwide in roles ranging from Sales Manager to National Training and Development Director. An active member of the community, Laura serves on several non-profit boards and is an advocate for cancer research as a speaker, mentor, and fund raiser. Laura was named one of Pathbuilder’s Top 20 Women of Achievement and has also been honored by Emory University’s Executive Women of Goizueta with the Guiding Star Award bestowed annually to a woman who demonstrates leadership by guiding others through her professional example, her involvement in her community, and her commitment to her family.
